Dwarf Animation Studio is currently seeking DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer. This role will involve liasing between the Systems and Software departments to ensure the developers have the support they need to work efficiently, and taking some of the short term support burden off Systems. The ideal candidate would be a good communicator and able to work autonomously with minimal instruction.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Compilation of librairies and 3rd party applications on linux (and windows and mac if required).
  • Maintain continuous integration and delivery systems for our programs (build, test, deployment system, docker swarm, kubernetes,...)
  • Maintain development tools  (gitlab, git utilties, IDE scripts)
  • Develop, deploy and maintain monitoring tools (ELK stack)
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies and blottlenecks in developer workflows
  • Create and implement code test plans and deployments 
  • Bug reporting, triage and tracking

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in writing python or bash scripts
  • Strong Linux background
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic understanding of one or more of these build systems, gnu make, gnu autoconf, waf, scons or cmake
  • Knowledge of containers and docker is a plus
  • Experience in a VFX production environment is a plus
