



About the job :
As part of the long-term production of the TV series Miraculous, we are looking for an Animation Conformity Artist to join the animation team onsite in Montpellier.
This role focuses on ensuring that client-approved animation is faithfully and correctly translated throughout the production pipeline, up to final rendering, while maintaining a high level of visual quality.
Key Responsabilities :
The role is divided into two main areas:
1. Animation conformity and scene verification

Ensure that animation validated by the client is accurately reproduced in the rendering software

Compare different versions of shots (Maya playblast vs Unreal render) to identify missing or incorrect elements
-
Use strong observation skills to detect discrepancies between animation and rendered output
-
Investigate and identify the source of export/import issues within the pipeline
2. Visual quality and aesthetic checks
-
Ensure that validated animation presents no visual or aesthetic issues
-
Detect and correct problems such as character-to-character contact, interaction with props or ground, and unwanted intersections

Identify and help limit undesirable deformations

Rely on a solid understanding of animation principles in Maya to assess motion quality
In addition, a technical background is appreciated in order to:

Support and assist artists onsite when technical issues arise

Act as a bridge between artistic and technical teams when needed
Must have :
-
3 years experience in animation production (TV series experience is a +)

Good understanding of animation fundamentals
-
Strong attention to detail and strong observational skills

Ability to analyze scenes and identify both artistic and technical issues

Ability to work autonomously while integrating into a production team
Technical Skills :

Good knowledge of Maya and Unreal Engine

Ability to understand and troubleshoot export/import workflows
-
Ability to understand logs issues
-
Knowledge of Shotgun / RV / Deadline and Perforce is a plus
