About the job : 
 

We are looking for a Senior/Mid Grooming Artist to help develop the stylized hair look of our characters and creatures. The grooming pipeline will rely on Houdini, with grooms exported to Unreal Engine for final integration. You will collaborate closely with the Lookdev and CFX departments to ensure simulation compatibility and artistic consistency.  

 

Key Responsabilities :
 

  • Create high-quality stylized grooms in Houdini for characters and creatures

  • Work with the Lookdev team to define the hair language during the lookdev phase 

  • Ensure grooms are compatible with hair simulation in Unreal Engine

  • Coordinate on a case-by-case basis with CFX artists to validate simulation-ready grooms


Must have :
 

  • Proven experience in grooming for stylized animation or VFX projects

  • Strong knowledge of Houdini-based grooming workflows

  • Experience with Unreal Engine hair systems and real-time grooming integration

  • Understanding of simulation requirements for hair dynamics (CFX collaboration)

  • Comfortable working with stylized references and developing a unique hair language

  • Bonus: This is a bilingual studio and project — good English communication skills are a plus
